In spite of WebDeal's efforts to simplify TSM deployment as much as possible, there is one phase of the process which we are not able to change significantly: client installation.

The task is simple, but it requires system administrator knowledge and the necessary permissions on the client system.

Do-it-yourself

If you choose to set up the client yourself, WebDeal will send you the following information:

  • Connection data
  • Encryption key
  • Necessary software clients
  • TSM setup manual
  • TSM restore manual

Our support team will be available for any questions the system administrator may have regarding client setup or initial backup validation. The scheduling routines need to be defined on the TSM server. Changes to schedule and storage policies must be performed by WebDeal's TSM system administrator team.

Working with a TSM deployment partner

If you do not wish to set up the client yourself, WebDeal can help you find the right TSM deployment partner to help you with that task.
