When I open a script in a Windows machine, I can only see some lines with plain text
This happens because Windows and Unix/Linux have different ways to define newline. To solve this problem, you can open the file using Wordpad (not Notepad) or another editor that supports Unix newline. PHPEdit is also a good alternative (you can download a demo version at http://www.phpedit.com ).
