What is CGI ?

CGI stands for Common Gateway Interface. CGI is not a programming language, but a simple protocol that can be used for communication between webforms and your program. A CGI script can be written in many types of programming languages, for example: Perl, C, C++, Python and diverse types of Unix shell (sh, ksh, csh, etc.). Our servers support Perl, which is the most popular web language.
